BC Uncommon Fowl Alert: RBA: NAZCA BOOBY in Victoria

At 6:22pm on July 23-2022, Tasli Shaw discovered a Nazca Booby off Victoria whereas driving a whale watching vessel for Ocean Ecoadventures. The fowl appears to be the identical fowl photographed in Seattle, WA on July twentieth because of the distinctive plumage since it’s a subadult. Tasli watched the Nazca Booby circling and sitting on the water on the south finish of Trial Island for 8 minutes earlier than she noticed it fly SE at a fast tempo. She adopted it because it flew SE for five minutes till it was out of sight. She was in a position to get hold of video documentation and pictures of the fowl as nicely.

Birders can scope from such areas as Harling Level, Kitty Islet and McMicking Level to see if they will relocate the fowl.
