At 4 a.m. on Sunday, our transport workforce loaded 41 canines on a aircraft to security.
These pets got here from 9 overcrowded, under-resourced Texas animal shelters the place they confronted demise. Caramel, Roux, Penn, Crimson, and 37 different canines have been flown to shelters in Idaho, Utah, and Colorado, to be adopted into loving properties.
Austin Pets Alive! and American Pets Alive! coordinated this lifesaving transport, connecting the Texas shelters with receiving organizations Animal Pals Alliance, Idaho Humane Society, Freedom Certain Hounds, My Second Residence Rescue, and Paws for Life Utah.

Our City Lake Animal Middle campus is a connection hub, the place we give medical exams to the pets earlier than they’re transported to their new properties. (We gave them some candy kisses and stomach rubs, too.)
